Yeah man, still got her. I've been in Afghanistan for 21 months, and just got home last month. Had the bike garaged during that time since I couldn't justify keeping insurance on her while I was...

Thanks man... Good to still be around. I got mine June '06, and she's still going strong, though I think I need to change the fuel filter. Had her not want to crank and would stall at idle after...

Wow! Thanks for all the great birthday wishes guys. Unfortunately, I have the pleasure of working 24hrs today, so that kinda sucks. Anyway, this really proves how this site is like one big family....

Hey guys.. I'm alive and well. I've just had a LOT of stuff on my plate lately. Been working a lot of hours at my full time job, and also trying to start up a photography business on the side. ...
  7. Re: 280 on Stock Rim pics (dial-up beware... lots of pics)

You did read the link I posted above didn't you? Yes, I did this mod. I no longer run this mod, and don't recommend it to anybody either. I recommend the Dunlop Elite III 250 (which I now run) or the...
  8. Re: 280 on Stock Rim pics (dial-up beware... lots of pics)

REmoving the replaceable peg feelers does nothing to change your cornering clearance. Sure, it means you can lean over farther before hearing metal scrape, but remember, your pegs fold up, so those...

    Re: need photoshop help

Here's a couple quick samples. Hope they're what you're looking for, as I'm not having much luck making the pattern look like paint.

    Blacked out chrome and wheels.

    Re: need photoshop help

    Hi Doc,

I got your PM. I'll see if I can work something out, but it might be a week or two. I've got a lot on my plate at the moment after my wreck, but I'll see if I can work something up for ya....

Prayers sent. Best of luck for your mother. Does she do the bee sting therapy? I've heard other folks that swear by it.

Re: Run in with some Hardlye guys

Best reply I could think of would be, "For a fake bike, it sure has gotten all you guys staring. How many folks are standing around your bikes gawking?"

    Re: Major Bad Luck

    Dam, Guy... That sucks. I hope your fingers heal up well. BTW, the impulse to yank your hand back wasn't anything you could control, so don't feel bad about that part. ;

Re: well i went down ouch

Sorry to hear about your accident bro. You've learned what I learned last week after my car wreck... It's much worse the second morning. It will get better with time. Cracked ribs suck too.

    Re: Busted....Twice

Trust me... Your pegs will be perfectly fine rubbing some asphalt. That's why they make those replaceable feelers. Of course, it's best to replace them before they wear down too much.

A buddy of mine that worked the scene emailed me some pics he took after I was pulled from the wreckage. Here are a few more shots to show what it looked like on scene.

    Re: Warning !!

You don't think the GPS would hit the tank anyway if the bracket broke while riding? At least with the strap, you wouldn't have 2 losses.

Yep, that's the link. The stripes came in the $22.89 "Speed Stripes" package on the first page of that link. The Biohazard emblem is listed on page 7.
  24. Re: Cutting Inner Baffle Walls from Stock Pipes (Video)

I didn't drill pilot holes, as is evident in the uneven pattern of holes. They are highly recommended though to keep the bit from walking and messing up your pattern if things like that matter to...

  26. Re: Cutting Inner Baffle Walls from Stock Pipes (Video)

That's interesting. I noticed pretty much the opposite. Once I drilled my pipes, I found that there seemed to be less engine braking than prior.

Re: BIG 'OL HELMET FIGHT! lol.....

Then why aren't you on a tirade about wearing seatbelts in your car? By law, they have to be worn in all states if I'm not mistaken. You can say what you want, but the costs of long term care of a...
