It is fair to say that M109R is “afraid” to cruise around the metro areas, especially stopping and going in the hustle and bustle streets in the city. Moreover, when you are slowly climbing a hillside at 40-50 km/hr (25-35mph), the water te⋯⋯mperature will elevate to approximately 105 degree. In both case scenarios, you will easily hear the irregularly loud operation sound of the fan. It all indicates that your engine has become way too hot. M109R/M1800R is a design especially to function in the cold weather of both North American and European markets. Without the consideration of global warming, it is not capable of working under higher temperature. Although some areas reaches higher temperature at about 40∘C/100∘F in summer, it is usual for us to ride at about 32∘C/90∘F. However, this is still consider exceeding the normal working range for M109R/M1800R.

Many 06-07 models have the problem of radiator hose explosion due to overheating. REVO invents not only the thicker radiator but also the sensor mount to the water thermometer. Additionally, adding the design of the bolting points for you to install the aluminum mesh sheet which can successfully protects the radiator fins. After installation, you will find that the operation timing of the fan has shortened, which indicates the heat is well-exchanged and has cooled the engine down. Most important of all, REVO invents numerous gear indicators with water and oil thermometer that help you monitor the temperature of engine to prevent engine failures.

If you think the M109R gets hot in the city go take a TL1000R for a slow ride in traffic........ :o

Be warned, take some ice to cool your nuts down or you won't be fathering kids any time soon after! :D

My commute through London in the summer gives my fans on the 9 a good workout but no problems yet.

Nice radiator though!
