Oil Filter Replacement Intervals

Not sure if anyone picked up on this yet. Check your owners manual, page 7-4 which is the Maintenance Chart. The chart shows initial replacement of the oil filter at 600 miles! The next recommended filter change is at 11,000 miles! That's 10,400 miles between changes!!!!Assuming that is a Factory Filter that is installed by the dealer at the 600 mile service, that's one hell of a filter. I think I'll be sticking with Suzuki filters and change them at 3K intervals just for peace of mind.

I change oil filters at every oil change at 3,000 miles. They're not that expensive.
