Hey Fellow riders. I am about to buy an Integrated Tail light assemblies for my 9. But I can't decide on either smoked or clear lens. Which do you prefer? I know Smoked lens make it harder for people to see at night.
Smoked are harder to see anytime. Especially during the day. Check your local laws about what distance the lights must be visible from. Your choice comes down to what look you are going for with the bike. Some guys are going for the whole black out look whereas myself is the remove all colour from lenses look. Good luck!
I actually bought the clear lenses for better visibility and before I even got them I had buyers remorse since my taillight was smoked out and ordered the smoked out signal covers and compared. I was happy with the amount of light. I have actually put white LED's in the front to give me the driving light effect and they blink off to an amber when I turn on the signal. I also bought LED's for the back signals but found they were not as bright as the OEM bulbs so I opted for the brighter ones. Are they as bright as the clear ones would be? Probably not but I am happy with the brightness and the look I achieved.
I don't have a picture of the back ones sorry.
