Default Any Recommended Cold Weather Gloves?

    Hello,

I'm looking to purchase new riding gloves this Fall/Winter. I don't do much riding in the Winter, so I'm looking for gloves that have a thin layer of insulation (if any at all). I'm up in the Chicago area. I'll probably continue very short rides through Nov/Dec (30-90 mins), nothing afterwards.

I'm hoping to find gloves that aren't too chunky. The stores around here have a poor selection, so I'll end up ordering online.

    Any glove recommendations?

    THANKS!!

I just purchased ICON Patrol waterproof gloves. They weren't too cheap at $75, but they fit the bill of your description. They were reccommended by the shop owner who rides all year round. He did say they weren't for a deep freeze ride, but held their own to the upper 30's, low 40's. Not bulky, padded but decent on the grips. Left hand has a squeegie for rain built it...cool pair of gloves...gauntlet style too. This isn't the exact glove, but in the ballpark.

I have a set of gerber heated gloves that are really nice but are rather bulky but keep your hands and fingers very comfortable as the heating element's go to the tip of each finger, not all heated gloves do. I bought a complete setup of heated gear that if and when I get the chance to go snowmobiling I will be nice and toasty. I am looking into some heated grips so I can use a thinner glove in the future which I think will work better for me. I get cold very easily but I love to ride and will usually ride until the first road salting of the year and then in storage it goes. I added heat to my seat and find that I even use that in the warmer summer months when I'm out riding and don't make It home before the sun goes down and the heated seat does just enough to take most of the chill out of my bones. To have the heated grips option would be a big plus for me.

    Thumbs up

I bought a nice insulated glove in Daytona Bike fest and got them for $40. They are gaunlet style and are good down to the 30's.

If you know someone who went, contact them and have them pick up a pair for you.

    I love mine

I haven't found any glove that is much good for cold weather besides electric. A little bulky but good to maybe 30°. Below that they won't keep up unless you have some hand shields.
