Default Don't do this on the Dragon.......

Here's a case of someone losing concentration and not looking where he wants to go.

Look at the pics as a slide show.

He obviously kept his eye on the car! Ouch!

Numb-nutz was too busy smiling and waving for the camera. That's gotta hurt . . .

That's the main reason I don't want to do the Dragon. Potential of people running into me because they either can't drive it or aren't paying attention.

A perfect case of looking where he was going, and not looking where he wanted to go. He was in a very nice right lean, then the shinny red corvette caught his eye and his bike straightened right up on him.

Pay attention to what you are doing, stop for pictures later when you have reached your destination.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

With so many new posts every day it is easy to miss some of them. When we rode the TOTD a couple of weeks ago a guy went straight through a curve and into the ditch right in front of us. It's a risk but to me it was worth it. I'm planning on going back asap to ride it a few times. Thinking about hitting the Back of the Dragon on Saturday morning.

You can see the point where the bike raises up and goes straight. Can't give up on the turn in that situation. I would either drag frame and make it or low side.

Just be glad to NOT be the main attraction!

2011, Candy Indy Blue. I call her Cinderella...in the beginning, I had to be in before sunset. Not falling totally for the mod trap, just minor looks. She's plenty of bike, and I like it the way it is. I'll hit 13,000 after MAM, and working on a lot more.

Friend showed me this yesterday. Its some scary sh%t. Def the guy needs to keep his eyes on the road, and stop waving so dam much. If you look through the pic again, seems like the guy in the Vette had a smile on the whole time. Didn't seem to phase him at all, lol.

I found this in the Vette forum http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...he-dragon.html where the driver posted this time lapsed video.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2R4D1vBOM8

Rider suffered minor injuries to his wrist/hand.

Other information I found was that a second rider went down after that by hitting the fluids left on the road.

Not funny at all. No one was smiling after that crash. The vette owner probably thought the biker was joking around until he had fiberglass in his face.

Watching the time lapse, it looks like he could've easily made it if he hadn't gotten fixated on the car.

The vette owner sounds pretty calm about it all. I know the way his face looked, was deceiving...he had to be looking for a way out. Those things happen so fast.
