Default Sputtering when taking off from a dead stop

Hey fellas, I've had this problem a couple times before, but today it happened two or three times. Wen taking off in 1st gear the bike would sputter as I release the clutch and give some throttle. After I work through the sputtering and get the bike going it's fine. It's an '08 with about 9k miles. I haven't checked anything on it yet. But, I searched on her a little then decided to start my own thread. Thanks for any information that you can provide.

Sounds like the fuel screen in the tank. Eventually it'll get so bad it'll stall on you when trying to take off. And it'll lack power when you try to go full throttle. I had to change mine out around the same mileage. Probably have to change it again in the not-to-distant future, if it's anything like the first one. Pisses me off that a frikkin fuel strainer costs more than $50.00.

It is essentially a pre-filter. There is another filter in the pump.

I would check your plugs first are they black and soothed up or brownish red if the later change the plugs.

Is it a sputter in the engine or a shudder in the clutch?

Sounds like ANOTHER clutch shutter T.........
In an age of synthetic images and synthetic emotions, the chances of an accidental encounter with reality are remote indeed.

Maybe. But, it might be hard for him to tell the difference or express what is really happening.

What I can tell you is that when I take off and the bike sputters, its the whole bike that is sputtering or shaking. If it's not raining today after I get home from work I'll see if I can get it on video with the GoPro.

Imagine sitting on a big dog when he shakes water out of his fur. That's kinda what clutch shudder feels like.

Well assuming clutch shudder is the problem, how is that repaired?

I did another search and found some information on it. If you guys have anymore advice feel free to put your two cents worth in. I do have the bike under warranty still, so it's probably better that I just let them take care of the problem, of course, if the problem occurs for them. Any how, I'm still going to video the bike tonight and see if I can get some footage of. Oh, and yes it's kinda like sitting on my dog while he shakes, but I don't think my two fufu dogs will appreciate me if I demonstrated :)

Well I got on the bike earlier today after work with the GoPro and...no sputtering. I'll have my GoPro with me every time I ride the bid until I can capture the problem on video for all of you to see. Stay tuned...
