....i did a search and found this in kit form at radio shack for 19.95, the cool thing was that it included a #11 xacto blade to make the incision yourself, thereby saving 3100 in outpatient surgery expenses that most HMO's wouldnt cover anyways. of course im jewish so im always looking for a cheaper way to do things !

great mod though....i guess i have another winter project on the list

oh and you did a very neat job on the incision, did you stitch it,butterfly or coterize it !

I'm gonna take that finger ID reader off an old laptop andput it on my bike. Figger it'd be less painful and Nemo would approve it I'm sure!

Copper, solder and pcb boards.....i don't see anything magnetic there!

Now for you dolts that fail to see how this works, it's the same as the Honda HISS system, chip in the key, antennea in the key block
instead it's in his hand and the antennea is in the switchblock, place hand on throttle.....10seconds for engine prime and hit start button.

That is old technology... I was born with one of those in my "Pipi" and it required no incision. Although, I've never tried it with the bike, for my entire life I have been able "to just jump on and go" and turn girls on .

Nope. I figured they were made of cast iron.
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I don't get it, but to each his/her own. RFID chips are in everything these days, so I don't see a reason to put them in your hand. Why not put in your glove(s) that you wear when your riding? Helmet? Boots? Jacket? Granted, there's nothing wrong with putting one in your hand, but why bother? You could put it in a card that you carry in your wallet, or attach it to the inside of your phone's battery cover. A million and one places that it could go that seem more practical to me. Unless you have a common problem of losing your clothes, your wallet and your phone, I would suggest one of those options.

That said, if you really did it, then kudos to you for trying it out.

NEAT!! But....... What if take your hand away from the grip, does the bike stall? Or, once its running it stays running.
Please explain how the system works. I'd sew the FRID into my glove instead.

It's amazing what you did and as you can see not something many folks would have nerve to do. Myself, I wouldn't do it, but I'm like a lot and just don't care for doctors.

Oh, the MRI comment is valid too. They react badly with metal, not just magnetic items. The machine itself works off magnetic resonance. If you have an MRI they usually make you go to an optometrist to check for any metal you may have in your eyes.

When I first read this and I saw RFID I assumed you set it to be activated via the RFID on your iPhone ... oh wait iPhone doesnt have RFID .... maybe on your Galaxy S3 or BlackBerry then ? But in your hand is awesome ! I have a chunk of wood from a hockey still still embedded in similar spot on my left hand. Been there for years and never notice it any more.

My biggest concern would be someone trying to cut your hand off so they can steal your bike !!!

Can you educate us on the details how you wired the bike ?

Now I can just jump on and go....haven't been able to find anyone else who's done this and I love a good challenge.

Searched the net, bought the components and away I went. My GP was reluctant to do the implantation but I wore him down.

    Here's the little bugger here....

    Feedback welcome

I say BRAVO! I saw a video where a guy did this to a vehicle. He would wave his hand by the rear window to open the doors, then hop in and take off! I would be interested in hearing more about it... then have it open the car, front door, wife's legs, girlfriends legs... the possibilities are endless!

    Default Cavity Search?

I just had one of those! The search wasn't as bad as the flouride treatment after. Yuch! The worst part is you can't have coffee for some time after, and it tastes terrible if you try. Uhhhh, what are we talking about? Oh. never mind!
