    Default TRE

I have never heard of this one mentioned before. I guess I will be the guinea pig. I didn't feel the need for a gear indicator so figured for $26.00 bucks I would give it a shot. The link shows one for a gsxr but same company makes one for the 9 also. I'll post a review when it gets here and I get it on. Here is the link for a photo but like I said this link is showing the one for a gsxr. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-GSXR-...80975980081%26

    Default TRE

I just received mine today and installed it tonight, along with roadburner swept exhaust. I will run it tonight and let you guys know as well. The part is very small and easy to install.

Lightbulb Got one and woudl never go back

I have both an indicator and an TRE. I tried the indicator without the TRE and it was a major noticeble difference. I bought this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-M109R...#ht_978wt_1139

from a guy named Rainey from China. Great guy really knows bikes adn will bend over backwards to help you. I love it and would not have it any other way. Pls the gauges make it really easy to monitor temp while in traffic.

Nothing except the trackday you can get the gear indicator display. Trackday is proven according to other members here that use it. I will be reviewing this ones performance as well as the member above who said he purchased it as well.

They all perform the same, the difference is usually in the quality. Some go out early and some last forever.

All they do is make the bike think it's in 4th gear by showing a certain resistance to the ECU. If they do that, that's all they can do. The ECU then applies the timing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd that is used in 4th. 4th has the most timing advance of the lower gears. And since the bike thinks it's in 4th, it also doesn't apply the lower redline that 5th gear has, so the bike can top out a few miles faster.

Early ones didn't sense neutral so the bike would idle faster in neutral, due to the advanced timing. Then the A(automatic)TRE came along and it could tell the bike was in neutral and kick it out of the circuit so the bike would idle at normal speed.

Life has no remote control, get up and change it yourself.

This might be the only electronic mod I do, but I'm still going to wait until the warranty is over. That only next April anyway. So many have endorsed this thing, it has to be the real deal.

2011, Candy Indy Blue. I call her Cinderella...in the beginning, I had to be in before sunset. Not falling totally for the mod trap, just minor looks. She's plenty of bike, and I like it the way it is. I'll hit 13,000 after MAM, and working on a lot more.

Yup, you're both right! I'm already turning wrenches, and allen wrenches. It's cool, ev1 here is great. Sometimes I think I have dumb questions, but I do the searches too.

Speaking of dumb questions....while you guys are here...the ATRE site said that they don't reccommend it for the bikes that have gear indicators...I do, mine is an 11. Is there a "get around" for that, or do I go with the TRE without the gear indicator? It sounds like it's going to mess up the indicator either way. I admit, this morning I haven't searched this out, just responding to this thread.

If you have the 11, then go without a gear indicator

Healtech makes the XTRE for 2011s. It won't interfere with your gear indicator.

Well I installed the TRE and swept Roadburners this past weekend and the bike is clearly more responsive and is running like a scalded cat. The TRE was about as easy as it gets to install. It was just a 5-10 minute plug and play kinda deal, the exhaust was a little more tricky and took a few hours as I did not have long T-handle wrenches for the bolts, but was not to bad. I think I need to get a fuel programmer now as upon laying off the throttle I get some backfire and popping, not incredibly bad but not good either as I want the bike to run its best. As for the TRE, for the price I think it was worth it. I ride 3-4 times a week so we will have to see how long it holds up. I Need to get a hold of Ducks and get a set of those Bad Ass Covers!

Thanks for the post and just to clarify for a couple of previous posters-this is just the TRE, no gear indicator with this one.

I am hoping to smooth out the "lurch" in the lower gears...

Ok guy's I got home from work and the package was in the mailbox. I grabbed it and proceeded right to the garage. The install was all of 3 minutes, anybody can do this one with no mechanical skills. I have to say that I must of been used to the jerkiness at lower speeds because I never thought it was a big deal. This thing does just what everyone claims they do because there was a huge difference in the way it runs at lower speed-very smooth. Took it out on the highway and wow runs like a cat scolded with hot water took it to between redlights but this highway is not the place for high speed runs so I still have to take it out this weekend and see if it really gets around the limiter. I have no reason at this point to believe that it won't. The only other thing I can add to this review is 1. I shouldn't have waited over a year and a half to install one of these. 2. If you haven't put one on yet (I don't care what brand or if it has a gear display) just do it now! 3. For the $26.50 I paid I can honestly say IMO there is not another mod you are going to do to your bike that is going to give you the bang for the buck that this thing does! I purchased the one in the link right above this one. As far as long term for this particular brand I will have to update again later-unless someone else already had this brand and just hasn't spoken up ,now is your chance

Well, I'm pretty much convinced after all this. Next Spring though, no need at end of the season. I'll want to ride in the snow.

I had one on my bike for the first part of the summer. Pulled it off and gave it away. The bike ran better without it with my PC5 and autotune. It still runs just as smooth without the TRE at low speeds but i have more low end torque. Better Mpg and a much happier running bike.

This may very well be. I will update again after my round of winter mods. Right now I have aftermarket pipes, stock intakes and no fuel controller. I will be adding new intakes and a power commander so after that I will see. This manufacturer does advertise that this one is compatible with the power commander-updates to come, just going to be a few months. By the way scorp, which one did you have?
