    Default Question on intake and tunning electronics

    I am a newbie here and on bikes . Thinking really hard on buying a M109R , probably a 2007 or 2008 in good condition and low mileage... since I would be upgrading it (assuming it will be all original factory) I am curious if I can install a performance air filter kit like the Tornado Thunder or alike with the KLN air filter and NOT TO TAMPER with the electronics of the bike ... will the bike run well or because of the air volume increase I will need to deal with buying one of those Cobra Pro tuners ... If the bike has the factory pipes I would most likely debaffle them . My only doubt is on the tuner , so if anybody can show some light on that I will apreciate it... thanks

    If you open up the intakes and the exhaust (debaffel) then you will need a fuel tuner if you do one or the other then you are good to go

    Exactly. If you just do one or the other, then no issues.

    This is just the beginning my friend!
    Slap a cobra fi2000r on it and you are covered for whatever you decide to do in the future as far as intakes and pipes go. They are relatively cheap and make a massive difference! This forum will become your best friend once the mod bug bites and has guys with a hell of a lot of experience on our bikes.
    Buy the 9 now and let the fun begin!

    2007 Black M109R     Velocity Pro exhaust, low n mean chin scoop, low n mean reaper fender, fi2000r, painted speedo housing, custom radiator grill, meancycles engine cover, Stebel Nautilus, Ryan's harness, Greggs side cover...

    I have read some complains about the Cobra FL2000R quality . Should I look for some other brand or those problems have been fixed ? I looked at the PCV-EX and it seems a great product .

    Most problems seem to be that they havnt been installed correctly and have loose connections either at the earth connection at the battery or the connection at the injectors. This is hardly an issue with the fi2000r. Can't say I could fault the quality. I know a lot of guys on here run them on their bikes without any issues. Get ya bike first mate and worry bout this stuff later...

    Lol ... you are right ... I guess I am over planning things . I will concentrate on getting me a nice bike first , Thanks
