    1. great gas miliage 44.6 mpg.
    2. you can enjoy the view and not worrie about the twisties and not making them.
    3. do not have to worrie about using all 5 gears so less shifting....

    And less wear and tear?
If a 10 is near impossible, then we all at least have a 9!

Also have plenty of gas when you stop at the gas stations.
What other people think of you is none of your business.

I have the same issues when I ride with some friend and their Harleys! Always get great gas mileage (mileage usually matches average speed traveling) and I never have to shift past 2nd gear!

But you do have to be careful of Harley parts flying off and hitting your bike.

I was on the pig trail Saturday also. Just north of river witnessed a 9 coming out of a ditch and on to a flat bed at 2:00 red in color.

    And your bike stands out!!

Mary and I had a friend with a ultra classic Harley follow us a couple weeks ago. he averaged 30mpg trying to keep up. We didn't really leave hard, but he said he was constantly twisting all the way to get up to speed with us. He has the 96 ci with ported and polished heads and screaming eagle cams. While he went through all that and 30mpg, we were getting 42mph. LOL

Default Wrong Harley Riders for the nine

My best friend I ride with has a Screaming Eagle Duece and I get less gas mileage riding with him than I do when by myself. He is always twisting the throttle on that duece, I never have had any trouble staying with him but I am not getting those Harley benefits you guys are talking about.
Trees going by so fast that you couldn't tell an oak from a maple
    tire wear at its maximum
gas mileage gone to the dogs
the pretty women, well if you blink your going to miss them.
He blasts around those slow Harleys like they are parked, and those slow poor old ladys probably have to clean their seat after he goes by at a high rate of fuel consumption with those dam short harley pipes resounding off the side of their car.

So no Harley benefits for me just a wild ride thru the countryside blasting away from corners like the devil himself is chasing behind, full speed ahead......
