picked up the new sled
hey all well i picked up my 109 yesterday, overall im inpressed with it ,a couple of things im not ,the first to second change is crap (admiditly i come from sport bike riding where the changes are incredible) but i have hit neutral 5-6 times in the first 30 ks (ill get used to reafing on the gear lever i guess) the other one is ,riding on smooth road if i hit small bumps it feels like the first part of the front suspension travel is un sprung ..hard to explain , but it feels like the forks are compressing with no dampening ,then connecting with the spring and oil dampener for the rest of the shock travel causing a audible (and easily felt ) clunk ant the front end.
on the up side i took it to my mates custom harley shop (and copped an appropriate amount of **** for buying it ) so i then said "take it for a ride", every one of them came back saying it was better than their harley in almost every way.........but they still liked their harley better
i also have a street bike, and you should get used to the way the 9 shifts. i rarely hit neutral anymore. also, my front suspension feels exactly the same way as you described. i feel it in the pegs on certain bumps. my headset and forks are totally tight. sounds like it's just the way the 9 is.
Does this bike make my ass look, small?

the gear box seems to be getting better ,ive put 150 k on it and it seems to be changing better, has anyone ever put gsxr1000 internals in the front forks of these things?
The nine has a different shift all to its own as many say from 1st to 2nd you have shift like you mean it the more miles the better it gets Its something you just get used to and don't even think about it after a while .

look for a shift star. that will fix the shifting problems, and upgrade your front spings and you will get rid of that squishy feel. orrrr. you could put different weight fluid in the forks and might help
