Default Loose rivets on rear brake disc

Anybody else experience loose rivets on rear brake disc? I've got a 2008 C109. I've been feeling something scrubbing on the rear end of the bike for some time. Back rim is full of brake dust. You can wiggle the outer part of the disc back and forth. I just ordered one for about 250 bucks. Ouch!

May be too late to tell you this but ......
Some members have put big ball bearings in a vise
and squeezed the rivets between the ball bearings ( disc removed from bike )
going from one rivet to the other and tightening them
one small step at a time , until they were all tight again
they say it worked fine and did not loosen again .

After I ordered the disc the vendor sent me an e-mail saying that shipping could be delayed up to 4 days due to high demand for this item. I guess there are a few folks that have this same problem. I did read about the ball bearing/vise trick but I'm too lazy right now. Working 60-70 hours a week makes me lazy!

I changed the rear brake rotor today. Loose one was eating-up brake pads. Front pads look good. Still feeling a scrubbing/vibration when running 50-60 MPH. Already changed front motor mount. A couple of months back changed secondary drive gears because the dogs broke off. Guess I'll just ride it and see what craps out next!

    Default Loose Rear Brake Rotor

I have a 2007 with 11000 miles and noticed the outer ring on the rear rotor was loose. I called Suzuki and complained and the tech told me that this was normal. The rotor was designed to float. I told him that I didn't trust a floating rotor and felt like it was not safe and it also caused excessive wear on the pads. Suzuki also informed me the bike was out of warranty. My question to him was if this was not a safety issue with the floating rotor then why did Suzuki change the design to a non-floating rotor. After a few more minutes of me explaining how I felt about the rotor, Suzuki agreed to replace the rotor as a Suzuki Good Will Promotion. The rotor has now been replaced with the upgrade version that does not float. Happy owner again.

Suzuki is knowingly allowing Dealers to perpetuate the 'floating disk is normal' fraud. This should have been a Recall.

Yep, dealer just replaced mine last week on my 09. I have extended warranty, the dealer I use has been great helping me getting any issues taken care of with Suzuki.
