Default Question to those who have 2 stebel horn

As title says , I got me a second stebel
and was wondering , where am I going to put this thing
I already have the Air ride taking most of the room under
seat and right side cover , the first Stebel is in headlight nacelle
I know there is not enough room in there for the second one
the headlight nacelle is where I put a few things already ,
    it's full .
    ..
If anyone has any suggestions ,
I think I have read in the far past about someone
taking the Stebel itself apart and broken in 2 parts ,
that would also help ,finding 2 smaller places would be easier .
    ..
DOH , can't correct title with "edit" option
    should read "horns"

Pee Wee Herman it & put on Handlebars. Just kidding, I would not know where else than right side cover & headlight. Have not heard about taking apart. I'm sure you will find a place to make it work.

"Pee wee Hermaning-it" is out of the question

    others have done this ,
I just could not find them using the search engine .
    ..
I have found one of the threads I was looking for ,
it is from TORQ , a memeber here ,who has 2 Stebels mounted ,
maybe I'll get lucky , just PM'd him.

My first one was installed under the left cover plate. I kept it there for over a year and then a couple of weeks ago when I bought a new one, I installed it on the right side because I intended to fix/replace the one on the left. (louder is better!!) The one on the right isn't mounted - it's just wedged under the battery box. The left side is mounted on the black bar behind the cover plate. The mechanic mounted it with the vents pointing up though. That's not good. Dirt and stuff collect in it. It's best to mount it vertically with the vents facing down.

He has it under the right side cover and in the headlight bucket. I know because I made a P&P harness for him. He made a joke that he now wants to put a third on. I have read that people have separated the compressor part from the horns them selves.

I am not afraid of work , I am still looking into this ,just don,t
want to break anything and see it is not fixable , if I find how to separate
the 2 , I will run a tube from the compressors to the horns
even if I remove my first Stebel in headight nacelle and put
both horns in there ,and mount the 2 compressors somewhere else
wiring and tubing is not hard work ,when you have a long winter to
    fill with little hobbies.

I stashed mine under the right side cover. When I installed my air ride, the stebel became homeless. Eventually, I found a spot, just under and a bit forward of the chrome half moon cover, between the frame and exhaust. One picture is from above, looking over top of the exaust, and the other is from below the exhaust. I removed the nut from the lower motor mount bolt and mounted a bracket to it, and then I clocked the horn to a position that gave me the most clearance from the exhaust.

I remember a post of Rainey about installing 2 stebels behind the battery box, it was a nice fit and both stebels points right out.

Hope you have room there, don't know how it will work with air ride.

Do you have a chin spoiler? I don't think anyone has done it yet but there is some room behind there.

    Thanks to all who replied
I have made up my mind , the 2 Stebels will be taken apart
and both compressor will be mounted away from the headlight nacelle ,
and both horns , which are very light ,will be up in the headlight nacelle
side by side ,running 2 tubes from horns to compressors ,
all the sound will come from the front , will post pictures ,
might take a few weeks , other stuff to prepare for the coming fall .
    ..
couple of picture to imagine what it will be working this
    small project .

Related on installing my first one: I need to an install on mine that I just bought but I have no clue where to connect the wires from the relay to stock horn wiring. I plan to place mine in the Headlight cover. Can I tap into the horn switch wires that pass thru there or do I have to direct the wires to where the stock horn is attached? Also, is it better to keep the relay in the Headlight cover as well or should I have it under the seat near the battery?

    ..
This is an easy to follow diagram
as for relay put it wherever it is most practical for you
I personally ran a big 10 gauge wire from battery + to
headlight nacelle , and whenever I install something new
that needs 12 volts in that area, I feed the relay to this new thing
from that big 12 volts wire , my horn relay is near horn
now but may end up under seat with 2 compressors and 2 relays...

Stock horn =2 wires Black /blue stripe (goes to handlebar switch) don't touch ..
    .................. Orange /green stripe ( will connect to relay ,pin# 86 )
........Orange /green stripe""""also goes to where it went before """".
    to keep stock horn in.

other wires as described in diagram ,
when you press the horn button ,you close the little bar that
is on the left of the diagram , then the union is made
between the pin #86 and pin # 85
, (those can be small wires)
then the current passes between the pins # 30 to pin # 87
which have bigger gauge wires to handle the current to the horn .
    ..
find someone with small hands to reach behind radiator shroud
and take plastic off Orange with green stripe wire ,(splice) or cut
and add another wire to reach the relay , once you have that extra
piece of wire from the Orange wire , you are finished with stock horn
and can work on new stebel wiring .
    ___________________________________
    ..
So you go to the stock horn ,for the small gauge Orange wire ,that
will trigger the relay ..( hook to pin # 86) ,but you run a stronger gauge wire
from battery => to the fuse holder ,=> to relay #30 ,relay # 87 => to Stebel horn +.

Thanks Kazimodo, I will give it a go and put the relay under the seat. I have a posi-tap and posi-lock kit that I use for electrical wiring connections for such a project.
