Don't know why they didn't just round it off to $30,000

Aside from the price...I think that bike looks awesome. HD giving it the old college try. The price tag isn't near justified and I doubt the engine will make the kind of HP ours do because of the old tech, but if that bike was around $15,000 I'd give it a look.

Harley's air cooled twins have never been close to being on par power wise with the metrics when comparing equal size engines...this one will be no different...I'd bet it's down on power by 40-50% compared to the 9....and it's still air cooled...come on Harley, it's time to get out of the 1950s.....

Not impressed at all....chain drive, air cooled, double the cost, for what, chrome wheels? I don't even think it looks that great...Vrod over this any day.

2011, Candy Indy Blue. I call her Cinderella...in the beginning, I had to be in before sunset. Not falling totally for the mod trap, just minor looks. She's plenty of bike, and I like it the way it is. I'll hit 13,000 after MAM, and working on a lot more.

I love the way they describe the engine:

"The knowledge of what makes an engine truly move a rider runs deep at The Motor Company, and it was put to good use when we created the Twin Cam 110 engine. We sweated bullets perfecting every cubic inch, pushing design and technology forward. And we did it all without compromising one bit of Harley-Davidson's unique styling. Evolved, yet carrying on the legacy of the Flathead, Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead, Evolution® and Twin Cam 88® engines that came before. The performance and durability are a direct result of the untold miles logged on the V-Twin since 1909, and the proud heritage that comes from a century's worth of commitment to life on two wheels."

And they only state torque, no HP. I guess it's so low that thought it be best to hide it.

Styling is okay. I'll give them that.

The primary is chain. The final is belt.

They also didn't mention anything about the overheating problems with the rear cylinder on the 110....

Harley Davidson is the absolute best company in the world.... at advertising. What other company out there has people get tattos with their logo on them without making the news as a living billboard? They make more money licensing their logo than they do actually selling the product they are famous for.

IMO, not a bad looking bike, for someone else.
Motorcycles are perfectly safe, as long as you don't fall off and you don't hit anything.

Tractor Company's typical product loaded with hell of chrome, security system but missing some thing really required for a performance bike. I like radiators.

To answer your question.... Full Throttle Saloon! That's right they were giving free Tattoos @ the FTS. There were 5 FTS designs to choose from and when I walked by both times there was a line @ least 10 people long. I wish I could have taken a picture of one of the morons with the tattoos. I assume that they were riding Hardly's and if you'd have checked their other arm it would've had a HD tattoo. Just saying.

At $26,499 it is definitely not a good answer to the M109r. As Bernie said, you could get two 9's with mods for that kind of dough. However, having said that, if I had money to burn, I would definitely give this HD some strong consideration as a 3rd or 4th bike.

Sorry, IMHO, I just don't see it...doesn't do one thing for me....nothing. VRod for $10,000 less...if, I ever went Harley.

Yeah, note that at best it would be a 3rd or 4th bike for me. I do like that they painted the frame to match the color like Honda does with the Fury. I do like that.

I just don't get the whole Harley thing. They have some of the plainest, ugliest, overpriced bikes on the road with no sense of style and they won't pull a greasy string out of a pig's arse.

They do sound good, I will give them that being the former drag racer I am and love that type of sound. Money wise, it's a joke how much they cost. Since when does old technology cost more than new?

Nice glorified HD, and the 240 rear surprised me, but c'mon $28,000. How in the hell do they justify that ?

Three things when I saw this...it's a girl riding, so I think it's small....it is nice looking....it's a B---H to clean! No thanks, I'll still take the two 9's for the same cash. Actually, I'll stick to my one 9!

it does scream HD, looks about the same as every other one I see and would blend in to a parking lot like "realtree" in the woods
next year they will probably make it an anniversary model
