Default I was mistaken for a VROD today

So I went for a "short" 200 mile ride to look at HAY stacks.....LOL When we stopped for lunch and this guys riding a Goldwing came up to me and asked if Iliked the VROD.... I said, sure but I don't have one. He then says isn't this a VROD? I told him nope, and he looked sloser and said....SUZUKI? "I can't keep up with the new models of bikes anymore". LOL

So here are a few pics of the HAY STACKS.

I had the same thing happen to me a few times now. I just laugh at them and say it is not a HD. I even argued with a guy one day. He insisted it was a HD and my bike still had the badges on it.. I don't think our bikes like like HD's at all. But what can you do.

Happens to me pretty often. Pretty funny to watch how people love my bike, tell me how awesome it is, and then they ask me if it's the new v-rod?? NOPE!! I tell them, it's a Suzuki m109.....2008 model. Their whole attitude and demeanor change instantly just because it's not a HD. Pretty funny to me because 2 seconds ago they were pissing all over themselves telling me how cool it is, then they walk away like I'm on a moped. Pretty sad how people can't think for themselves, gotta have somebody else tell them what's "cool". It's even more funny when I ask them what they ride?..... Usually I get "I don't have a bike right now, but one day I'll own a (insert HD model here)".

Those are some neat hay stacks, I can see why you went to see them.

I had a guy that did worse than that. He told me he used to have a Vrod just like the one I was riding. I explained it wasn't a Vrod, it was a Suzuki M109R, and he wanted to argue with me that it was a Vrod.

Maybe he was trying to press a point that he owned a Bike and only knew of HD name.

Cool haystacks, I live just across the border about 20min from Babb MT. What part of Montana are they located in?

I'm sort of surprised the farmers would let any of their hay be used like that since it is supposed to be in short supply this year.

I am so damn sick and tired of people asking me if it's a Harley. I mean good grief does everyone have to buy the same brand of product. I just tell them the truth - that I considered buying the V-rod until I found out they are small, uncomfortable and handle for ****. Then I tell them Harley doesn't make anything comparable to the 109. Hell, they needed Porsche to help them with the V-rod to begin with.

UTICA and Hobson Montana. Just West of Lewistown and about 80 miles East of Great Falls.

I never knew about that. I live in Southwest Montana. How long do they leave them up? I might have to go check it out.

They are left up for about a week. Not too late to go and ride to see them.

Just do like I do and agree with whatever they call it, that way you'll be the only 109 around hehe.

I had two guys at Myrtle Beach mistake it for a Harley. One yelled I like your Hog man!" and the other said "nice VRod" lol.

One guy at Advance Auto Parts said, "is that a Vrod?" I said sure is lol. I know I know, but it's fun lol.

Would love to see those haystacks, my kids would get a kick out of that.
