If money isn't an issue and you are looking for deep sound then Rainey's 5" or 6" Monster Cannon is what you are looking for. I love my 6" cannon. It's just pure sex in an exhaust. Deep sound, looks great, and improves performance. Rainey is f'n awesome in what he's created for these machines.

To answer the other questions, there is no smog stuff that I am aware of other than the CAT and you'll be ditching that with the exhaust swap. Tuner comes down to pocket book and preference, check out the frequently asked questions folder for a good breakdown on tuner options.

Again just look in the frequently asked questions folder. If you change just the exhaust you are ok but if you change the intakes too then you will need a tuner.

CA bikes have a vapor canister in front of the battery box. Don't know if it'll make the bike any faster but if you remove it you'll need a vented gas cap.

Don't know what the exhaust laws are, but getting the cobra powerpro is probably a good idea even if a little more up front than other fuel managment options. If you change out intake or exhaust later it will not require any adjustment to run right.

Where are you at in Michigan? That will have some impact on whether you have an inspection to pass or not...

Removing the vapor recapture cannister will not make it any faster but will provide a space for potential storage or a compressor for air ride. And if the vent hose from the tank to the cannister is left dangling, there is no need for a different cap. There is no other anti-smog devise that I'm aware of.
The CA models are the fastest anyway
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Agreed! Rainey's 6" Cannon is an amazing upgrade but don't forget to add a Cobra Powerpro.
