Forward control shifter bushing
Hey guys I need some help/info. A previous owner installed forward controls on my bike and lately the shifter had been sticking to the point it wouldn't shift up or down without wiggling it back and forth with my foot. I took it apart last night and seen some rust on the shifter rod so I cleaned it up and greased it but couldn't get it back in because some of the bearings/pins had come out unbeknownst to me. I took the arm off this morning and some of them are missing and it was rusty in there. My question is, where/how can I get a new bushing for a forward control I know nothing about? Does the stock bushing work in these things or do I have to find out what forward controls I have and order a bushing from the manufacture? I appears to have two bushings, one on each side with a divider in the middle so they get pressed in from each side.
Thanks,
Mitch

Sounds like you will have to find out who made the forward controls. Or take it to a company that specializes in bearings and they may be able to help.

Judging from your signature picture, you have Raw Design forward controls. You can go to their website, www.metricfats.com and see if they sell replacement parts.

Post a close up pic and I'm sure someone here will know the maker of your forwards. Josh might have steered you that way already but post a pic anyway just to be sure. FYI, there are only 1 or 2 companies that made forwards for this bike. Should not be hard to figure out.

Will do, I'll get a close up tomorrow and post it.

There should be a number stamped/etched into the face of the bearing.
