    Default Tuner / Tire Questions

    Hi Guys,
Thanks again to all who contribute to this site as I've read a ton of posts and there is a lot of great info. Now I've got the tuning bug bad and am going to be making some changes. Just have a few questions that I was unable to find answers for. I'm looking at picking up a CobraFI2000r and am wondering where guys have found the best price? Also looking at adding a TRE, I know there is a member that makes them, does anyone have a link to his site or his contact info? As for the headlights, I'm going to do an HID kit because I live out of town and the factory light output is not near bright enough for me. I would look if I was at home but I'm away with work so I'm curious if both bulbs are H4's? Lastly, this is for the Canadian members, where is the best/cheapest place to get tires? Thanks again to everyone for the great info. Cheers

You can try any of the motorcycle superstores for the cobra. With shipping options & things like that they all will be in the ball park.

I do not remember who that person is. Hopefully someone will chime in soon.

As far as HID, several people have had failures with them. Not trying to change your mind but just for an option, look into a PIAA lamp. Mine is bright.

Look into Dennis Kirk for some tires deals.

Thanks for the input guys, just ordered an Fi2000R (Ebay), K&N filters (Direct Line), and a TRE (Track Day). Should get everything installed just in time to park the bike for winter And thanks for the input on the HID's Larry. I've run PIAA in other toys and have been happy but they still aren't as bright as HID. I'll do a little more research on it now. Cheers

Buy the sportivia Hi halogen and Low HID kit. You get 2 full kits for $60 shipped. If the hid ever fails, high beam will always work and get you home. then, 10 minutes later you are back in business as you can just throw the other kit in. FULL plug and play. I run it and have recommended it and put a few in customer's bikes and they love it.

Yeah the car and bike get parked for the winter, and winter is 5-6 months long up here. I agree the warm weather would be much nicer!!

Thanks for the info, I decided to try the kit from A&R and I'll see how it does. If I have any issues then I'll definately try the one from Sportivia. Cheers
