    Default Idling to Fast

I had the bike in the shop for the 2nd gear problem, it was away for 3 months and I think I am lucky to get it back. The only problem is that it constantly idles at nearly 2000rpm. When I wrote in before, Kawzx7 said it could be the clutch micro switch. I ordered spare (took ages to get to dealers) fitted it today but problem is still there, if anybody has any ideas I am willing to listen. I guess my next choice is to take the tank off and see if I can find anything wrong there. As an after thought? could the timing be out somewhere, it starts as soon as i hit the button. Thanks guys

do you have a tre on your 9 ? sometimes it will do this. Just turning it off, waiting a few seconds and restarting puts it back to normal
    (may take a few tries)

Since the engine has been out, the most likely cause would be misadjusted throttle cables keeping the butterfly's partially open. The next cause could be the throttle bodies need synched and including checking the TPS adjustment while you are there. Another likely cause could be the throttle bodies are not in their perspective boots all the way---but that should show in running the bike down the road causing back firing.
