    Default Oneida Suzuki

Has anyone had a problem with Oneida Suzuki customer service? I ordered a master gasket kit from them for 150.00 and I did receive it. I had emailed them before the order to make sure it was a master kit with EVERY and o-ring I would need for the tear down and rebuild. The said that it was. I and putting the engine back together and I have had to go get a few o-rings from the hardware store because they were not in the kit. No biggie. But now I am putting the heads on and the head gaskets and not right. The are head specific and only go on one way so there is no way to mess that up. But some of the holes are not punched and a couple of the water jacket holes are not punched also. This is only on one gasket. The other is fine. First, the number on Oneida's web site only sends you to the contact email page they have. So I filled it out with all the info and I get an email back stating "The gasket sets sold by Suzuki offer the general items needed to do a motor tear down. Items not included in the kit need to be ordered separate. Thanks
    Jerry
    Sales Consultant"

Well it was supose to be a complet kit, atleast that is what they told me. And DUH!! if it is not included, you need to get it seperatly. But that was not the issue. He didnt even metion anything about the head gaskets. So I have to go back to the page and send again. And I get a different rep who doesn't know what is going on saying I didn't give them enough info. lol So The third time I send everything again and I get a 3rd rep who say I might have it on the wrong head or backwards. Buty if I don't send the whole kit back and they will send it to the Suzuki warehouse they bought it at and have them check it out and IF it is the wrong one they will send me the right ones. LOL I have the engine mostly back together and they want ALL the gaskets back to do the RMA! What a crock of BS!!

    Ok done ranting...

I am going to find another set of head gaskets so I can get my bike back together.

    JUST PISSED OFF.

I've bought from them a couple of times without any issues. Didn't need to deal with customer service. I just received a package from them today with two seals for my rear drive that I'm rebuilding. I feel your pain though. The internet lets us search all over the world for the lowest prices but if there's a problem, we're sh*t out of luck when it comes to dealing with a salesman face to face. I'm a big believer in shopping on the internet but it does have its drawbacks. Send them an email (4th) explaining what you've been through and tell them that the product description is really misleading and needs a better explanation of its contents. If they don't, tell them you'll put the word out on this site about boycotting their business. See if that gets their attention.

    I agree 100%

I have purchased from them before with no problems but I never had to deal with customer service.

I will be calling in the morning and trying to see if I can get a human. lol Hope so. I checked for the head gaskets at other places and I am looking at abou 30.00 each. Crazy but hay, the cost of a bike I guess. I can say this is the last time I order from them. I do try to deal locally as much as I can but the shop here wanted 200.00 for the kit and they would not budge. That is really crazy.

I've ordered a lot of stuff for my bike, my wife's old S50, and here current C50T from them and never had a problem they didn't handle with no issues. Really only had one problem, I bought a set of crash bars for her S50 and it came with too many of one of the bolts and not enough of the other. They sent me the pack of bolts out of another kit.

The only problem I've had with them is when I palce my orders, I have to use Paypal....if I try to place an order just using my debit card it always cancels because I have to have my orders shipped to my work and their system won't recognize my work address as a billing address for me....

And this is why I ordered from them. But now that I need their customer service. It really sucks. Can't talk to anyone, only on an email form. And you never get the same person, so you have to keep explaining the situation over and over. That is just wrong. And them get all their parts from a Suzuki warehouse so they don't stock anything acording to their customer service. And they dont wty the parts, the warehouse does. So you have to send it to Oneida and they send it to the wh for evaluation for wty. lol that is a joke in it self. The time frame there is going to be a few weeks at least. Oh well I learn fast and I won't deal with them again. Thanks for letting me vent.

Called that number this morning. That is the store and according to the rude dude who answered the phone, they don't have anything to do with the internet order part and there is not any number that goes to them and there is no manager that is in control of them and then he hung up on me. lol He was a bit pissy when I asked for any of this. I have filled a complaint against them with paypal since I use paypal to pay for the kit. lol I have even gotten a response already. But it is still the same bs, return the kit and the wh will decide if they are bad and sent new ones. Takes 4-6 weeks. lol I already have my hands on some good ones so I will just keep presureing them until they fix it. lol Not at their mercy at least and I can get my bike done.

I've ordered from them for many years now, and only had great experiences with service and speed.

You can't please everyone, it's like that in my line of work, but rude customer service is another thing. Nobody likes it, and it's going to hurt their business.

I will say that when I contacted them through their contact page to ask about the gasket kit. They responed fast and told me it was comlplete with everything needed for a teardown. And when I places the order, I received it in good time. But it is the customer service after the fact that has me so pissed at them. It is just wrong to take your customers money and them blow them off. With them not willing at all to even budge on the fact that these gaskets might not be right and refusing to talk at all except through the contact page. All just wrong.

That today is the price we pay for buying cheaply on the internet sometimes I am not saying it is right its clearly not, they deal in number of sales that is all they are interested in its when things go wrong we find out a few companies just do not care .In the UK we do not have many dealers and most of them only want to sell you a new bike or repair the one you have got,you sometimes have to wait ages for spares and it can be quicker to get them from a USA dealer
