Well nobody says you have to talk to her. Just leave the batteries out of her Scala unit.

Awesome! I am wanting to get a set up like that for my wife and I, she is a trooper about riding with me, but she does get bored and wishes we could talk. If I could just stop blowing my money on mods for the bike I might be able to pony up and get one of these. Let us know how it works once you get it, oh, and keep your dang dog away from it! :)

It is not only for that since the wife very rarely rides with me. You can talk on the phone with it and to your buddies that you are riding with. Also listen to tunes. It will be nice when ridding with my father we can communicate when ever needed.

We had the older Q2's and they worked great for at least 3 years. When you ride separate bikes they are nice to have, you can warn of road hazards and avoid getting lost from each other. When we decided to get new ones I started to go with the G9's but there was nothing wrong with the mounting bases and stuff for the Q2's so we upgraded to the Q2 Pro series. They have twice the range of the older Q2, but not quite as much as the G9's do, and are stereo instead of mono. And the controls are easier to use. And now we have bases on both our 3/4 and full face helmets so all we do is swap the receiver when we change helmets.

They do make a attachment sold separately for the Cardo units. For the G4 and G9 will be out in March 2013. That's the news I got from their website.

I've been using the 1st gen Q2 Teamset for about 5 years now, but one of the units stopped pairing recently. Time to upgrade, but I'm not looking forward to the replacement cost for a set.
