Take off the tank and run the wiring up the frame to where you need to run it. make a disconnect in the speedo area so when you take the tank off from now on you can simply unplug your connection
How I did for my air ride switches
All I have to do is slide the tank back, unplug the connections and off it comes.
IT'S NOT ABOUT HOW FAST YOU GET THERE, IT'S ABOUT THE RIDE ITSELF. TAKE YOUR TIME AND ENJOY IT!!
Hi
For my TRE gear indicator install I loosened and propped the back of the tank and pulled the (single) cable through with a piece of fencing wire (on the clutch side) - I was surprised how easy it was. Form the end of the wire into a tear-drop loop and wrap with duct-tape for both the push and pull directions. It took me about 10 mins and surprisingly no snags
I still haven't removed the tank completely and probably won't until I really have to!
Cheers
Don't be afraid to pull the tank if you need to. It's ridiculously easy. One bolt. One quick connect fuel line and 2 plugs and off it comes.
Hi Antmor
Thanks for the encouragement re the tank removal - I'll bear that in mind
I couldn't help noticing our respective "post" stats - you're at 4k+ since 2010, I'm at a miserable 42 since 2009 - how do you do 4000+ posts in 3 years? Thats over 100 per week - is that even possible? :-)
Cheers
Big B likes to get in the mix all the time ,which is fun for me to read!
Hi BB
You didn't reply to my note so your post stat wasn't in front of me - but in any case my observation was more about the disparity between my 40+ and Antmore's 4k+ rather than the figure itself altho it reads the other way
And agin - no criticism intended - I enjoy it all - keep 'em coming!
Cheers
