I would just go to a Suzuki Dealer and have them order one if you want to ride anymore this year. May take DLP months to get you a new one.

What year and how many miles do you have? I was talking with another member who said his broke and he was on the side of the road. Told me that the one thing I MUST HAVE is a spare clutch cable stored under the seat and the knowledge and tools to change it.

It broke and i had 11,778 miles and i think its because i do a lot of slow races which involves clutch and braking yes i win the race but it seems to cost me in the long run. Also when you get to a light don't hold the clutch in put bike in neutral keeps stress off the cable and make sure the cable is lubed and adjusted correctly. Im learning by reading some post online also. Hopefully the next cable last me a life time

Mine broke about 2 years ago. Fortunately, I was only about a mile from the dealership I usually goto. Think I was sitting between 18 to 20k miles as well. But yeah, I now roll with a spare one.

Give them nothing! But take from them everything!

:( my clutch cable broke on me this morning. i guess i was lucky to be withing 2miles of my house. I have a 2008 with only 5500 miles on it. I dont understand why it broke so early.

I am looking to buy one ASAP.

My first Suzuki cable broke at about 8k, the second is still going at 25k. I just routed my spare alongside the working one to speed up the fix if it breaks in an inconvenient place, which I'm sure it will.

If you keep breaking cables, I would suggest you check your cable tension. My check method consists of accelerating hard while checking for lever play. You should still have a very small amount of play in the lever when under heavy throttle. If you don't, then you are putting stress on the cable every time you accelerate, not to mention, you are not getting the full clamping force of the clutch.
