    Default M109R Riding Ergos

This is just for fun but it's a pretty cool website to play around with.

    Cycle-Ergo.com

Click "Add a Motorcycle" and select the Suzuki M109R or any of your other bikes.

    Enter your Height & Inseam.

    You can also customize:

    - Handlebar rise
    - Handlebar pullback
    - Seat rise
    - % of arm straightness

And it gives you a visual readout of optimal riding position with forward lean & knee angle.

If you get lower back pain, numb legs or fatigued arms...you might be riding in a jacked up position without knowing it. lol

Interesting, and this chart confirms what I have been thinking. On longer rides my forearms get stiff and I had thought it was because of forward lean. After putting in my measurements, the chart confirmed that I'm leaning 4" forward. It also shows that if I go with a set of +2" risers, my forward lean would be corrected to 0.

I'm thinking 5.5" of rise would suit me best. I don't see that
happening with my current cash flow. LOL

Your gonna need to get longer brake & clutch cables as well...right?!

Yes...that's kind of the whole point of getting these...besides the fact that they look nice. They arc your bars closer to you for greater pull back.

On DLP's site for their 2" risers, they say you can use existing cables.

Ok then...that's cool. Might be a bit tight at a full turn...but that would be less work & money switching out the cables. Thanks for the info!

I got the same risers on the way as well, hoping to cure some of the forward lean. I got a 2011 mdl so I am also hoping it doesnt required new cables and re-routing is all that is needed.

Do you own them or know some one that has them?

I don't know how much pull back I would get with a 2" riser. I would need to know that to see how much I would need to correct my 3 degree lean at my height and inseam.

104 degree knee angle 1 degree lean on a 109 which isnt too bad
100 degree knee angle and a 0 degree lean on the 90 i used to own. Should feel very similiar out on the road as far as riding position
    bikeless at the time

    .

2" up and 1" back. I'm 6' and NO more lean, arms are straight out! Should have done it years ago.

I have also heard stock cables will work, have read that for years here on this forum. However I went braided SS on every cable, and went 3" longer on everyone!
However If I were to do it again!!! My {front brake cables} would have been 2" longer. 3" is a little long, yet again if I let the block just hang it would be better. But I wanted it pinned right where it was.
