Default My interaction with a Lafayette cop today...............

Cruising around town today, come up on a Lafayette cop on one of the main thoroughfares. He's in front of me for like a mile in my lane. Light in front of us turns red, he changes lanes, and then he stops two or three car lengths short. Well, I only had one car in my lane, so I had to pull up short or along side him he couldn't see my side mount plate (illegal in IN). He waves me forward and says - "Pull up a little bit", I acted like I didn't hear him to buy me some time for the light to turn green. He says it again, so this time, I pull up, only along side.

    Me- "What's up officer?"

Cop - "Nothing, just wanted to get a good look at that thing!"

    Me - "Ah, ok."

Cop- "Hey you buy that in Logansport?"

Me - "Nah, Cincy a couple years ago."

Cop - "Ah, ok, friend of mine has one out there that looks just like that."

Me - (jokingly of course, smile on my face) "Well, word is, Suzuki made more than one, they wanted to make a profit."

Cop - "Ha, yeah, you're right (laughing), have a good one!"

Just magic what these bikes do to people.

Well, this will be one of my last posts on here - bike will most likely be gone on the 18th. GF(ex now) is repo'ing the bike, even though I make the payments. Loan is in her name, and she's being a c@nt. I can't pay off, so let her deal with it.

Might see a vid or two of me giving the bike a good sendoff! Smoke 'em if you got 'em!

I have been yanked 3 times by cops. All 3 were to ask what it was. LOL

Chris, I would just forget the kickstand one day and let it have some damage. F her!

Yeah, but insurance is in my name!! :)

I could be nice and drive it to her place. Instead I'm making her get a Uhaul. She said she'd take a hit on it, just to get rid of it. Maybe I'll have someone she doesn't know buy it from her for less than payoff, and pay them for their time while buying it back cheap! She mentioned she'd take a 2k hit on what she owes just to unload it, that would be nice.

Yeah, thankfully I haven't paid on it the whole two years. She paid on it when she lived with me, her "rent". Smart move on my part. It's so mixed up, I doubt a court would even hear it. I'll let her have her fun. She can't even ride.

Man that totally bites. Strip it of all the mods and let her have it that way. Good luck bro.

Well I don't know you or your ex or either of your personalities but from what you stated above it sounds like the only reason she wants the bike is because she has paid the tab on it instead of paying you for rent...and being she is willing to take a loss I would bet she would be willingly to work with you on buying it back from her at a reasonable price if you guys are cordial enough to sit and talk.

That's why my G/F this summer is my bike, and I'm having the best summer maybe that I ever had. Oh, I had one before I bought the bike, she made me make a choice....I did.

Depends which one I'd be talking to!! AHHAHAHAHA!

She paid her rent, nobody rides for free. Now I have been making payments the last 6 months or so. She told me, she wants no tie with me and I couldn't even send her payments. Trust me, I'll miss the bike more. She is just being spiteful. She knows I don't welch on a deal and pay my debts. She wants payoff or nothing. She's going off the deep end in taking a loss and she knows it. Who knows the circuitry in their minds. And this has nothing to do with cheating, nothing. Things are just like oil and water with us now.

Before she gets it do some simple thing so it won't run. Make her hire someone to figure out why it won't run or have to sell it real cheap since it won't run

Why don't you get a loan from the bank and pay off her off? She just wants to sell it for money to pay off the loan right. I am so confused with this. Good luck to you and please don't fock the bike in spite of her.

Sorry to hear of the issues but F'n man up to it....if you can't pay for it then let her have it back in good condition cause when you turn around and f'up the bike just because you cant keep it you end up being a bigger dink in the long run and yes karma will come back and bite you twice.....sometimes a divorce is costly but in the long run it usually ends up cheaper when you just cut it loose cleanly.

No plans to f$ck the bike up. Just a burnout or two and maybe a powerslide. I'll just have video proof. I've done a burnout on the bike before tire change. If anything, I'll see if I can get it cheaper like I mentioned above. I've taken too good of care of the bike to thrash it.

My credit is not the greatest right now. Self employment/freelancing is not working, hoping for the economy to break soon........otherwise I'll be selling more stuff!

Lol, sounds like your dealing with Cybil I see! Well you know better then anybody, I just wanted to give you some advice that may not have karma biting you in the @$$ but it is what its gonna be. Good luck with all that mess, I truly hope you guys can work it out without it costing you a few arms and legs cause its never worth it in the end when crap starts getting stupid if you know what I mean!

Gettin back to the cop story....I had a 79 Z28 Camaro brand new. It wasn't fast or anything, but a nice car at the time. I was at a light, turned green and I layed down rubber and left a strip, banged second, went around a curve, looked in the rear mirror, and there was a cop chasing me. I pulled over, knew I was cooked. Handed my license and reg out the window and the cop says, no, no, put that away...I wanted to see if I could catch you...I couldn't believe it, but then thought to myself, if you wanted to try that, you should have left your lights off! He had just bought one, and I had a rear window louvre he was thinking about getting. One of the lucky days I've had over the years.
