    Default **** EATING GRIN

its hard to be humble sometimes. pull in for some 93 octane and a guy w/ v-rod on other pump beside me. old man comes strolling across parking lot staring hard at m109. walks up spitting out all kinds of adjectives about bike. walks away and I swear never once did he look or even glance at v-rod. my wife pointed that fact out also. i looked at v-rod guy with that **** eating grin, what could be said?

I can relate. I'm at the Harley store with some friends and a guy comes and looks at that fat 280 on the back and says that is a bad a$$ bike....thats not a harley....what is it? I thought about all of the 109 guys just smiling With me. Then he says, let me hear it.....come on now...no problem ( boom!!!) As I blow him and girlfriend 3 feet back from the eruption.

It never gets old. We had a customer appreciation party at the HD dealer yesterday. I took my bike to work, and had it parked where everyone could see it. There were over 500 bikes there, mostly HD's, and everyone was taking pics of my 9, and everyone was talking about it. Some were haters, cuz it didn't say HD on it, but what can you do. It was a great day!

LOL I'm surprised your boss didn't ask you to move it as clearly you were taking away from the Harley's on display!

She actually says she likes it! She has a screamin eagle springer with a 240 on back. It's a cool bike, but looks kinda blah next to mine. lol

Love it!!! 109's should not be allowed in the HD parking lot. It is a major distraction!

Default Love the looks the "9" gets........

Left the house at about 0645 this morning, headed out to the Horseshoe Cafe in Wickenburg, Az. Had heard that this is a good ride from the Phoenix area and alot of riders stop in for breakfast at the cafe. Small hole in the wall place run by a group of bikers. When I pulled up there were about 10 bikes, all Harley's except for 1 BMW and then my "9". Breakfast was good but the looks that the "9" was getting were priceless. Even the cook/owner, outside on a smoke break, said "that is one huge, bad a** bike". Only 1 of the Harley riders ignored the "9" and rode off quick, he was probably feeling a bit inadequate seeing as he was 13ci short. I guess size does matter!

    Default Adjectives!

The guy on the V-Rod was thinking all kinds of "Adjectives" about your 9 too. The only reason alot of guys buy a Harley is so they get accepted by their Harley buddies.

How's that saying go..."you don't get it unless you have one"...more like ignorance is bliss.
I rode my buddies Road King and was like...where's the brakes...where's the power.....where's the handling.

The only thing that pisses me off is the aftermarket support for those things is crazy! I wish we had that selection of stuff to choose from. Maybe if they produce the 9 for the next 50 years we will get the same level of support like HD.

Oh well. I like HD's just wish they would bring them into the bronze age let alone the titanium age like the 9.
