    Default Replacement Bike.....

This is the bike I replaced my M109R with. I miss the power of the 9 already but this bike is so comfy. I had to go 5 hrs to pick it up and I rode it home. I filled it up when I headed home and didnt have to stop for gas untill I had went 195 miles and I was riding hard 80-90 the hole time. Now to start mods on it.

lol I hear you. It is very comfy. No its not a 9 but I had my 9 for 6 yrs and put over 41k on it. I had my fun and enjoyed it very much but have some big trips I want to take so I was ready to move on and get something more comfy.

Congrats, enjoy the hell out of that Kawi. When I had my 9 and it was in the shop for the 4th time I borrowed a Drifter from a friend. I understand what you mean when you say the power isn't there but it was comfy as hell. I rode it full throttle for about 8 miles and I couldn't get it over 115mph. I'd ride that bike coast to coast in a heartbeat.

To the OP, not that there's anything wrong with this bike as it's certainly a nice one, but I don't understand why people go with the 1500, or even 1700 Vulcans if they even think there could be a chance they're gonna miss having the power. Most people who have done any research at all know the 15 and 17 Vulcans are pretty gutless, but you can get 9-like power in a Vulcan if you get the V2K....they have the power of 9, AND they can be dressed out to make a very nice touring bike. I realize you can't buy them new anymore, but there are plenty of nice used ones around at very reasonable prices. I considered getting one myself at one time, and if my wife ever decides she wants to start riding more, the V2K would definitely be first in line as a replacement for the 9. It's a better choice for 2 up riding, and I wouldn't have to give up all the power of the 9.....I love the Victorys too, but they don't have the power of the 9 or the V2K....
