Default Let there be -- Light!

I finally got the lightbar setup from Custom World and installed it a couple of weeks ago. Then I spent over a week reading the different threads on this site and searching the E-ndless Bay for just the right xenon setup. I got so tired of reading everyone's complaints about service and faulty equipment with the cheaper Asian units on ebay, I finally contacted Zoom and Rynosback for their input. I ended up getting the setup from A&R (and yes - it's made in Asia too). I upgraded the two lights on the lightbar to 55w and finally got the xenon setup installed yesterday. I'm gonna take it out for a ride as soon as it gets dark tonight and see how it performs. If the xenon light does go out (as some people mentioned) then I'll have the halogen high beam plus two other 55w lights to see with. That's a helluva lot better than the one 55w main light. My only small complaint is that the two halogen bulbs are different colors than the xenon. In the second picture, you can see that my camera is starting to mess up These digital cameras sure don't last like the 35mm I have. Click image for larger version.

I went with a Barons setup and flipped the driving lights to the bottom. I preferred the look. I have an HID low beam and Orvin55 helped me wire the driving lights up to the high beam switch. Works great and really lights up the night. Your set up looks great and I bet you can see real well now.

Just got back from my ride. H-U-G-E improvement immediately to the front and the sides. Signs stood out great. None of the traffic flashed their lights at me so that's a good sign. If any animals had been on the side of the road, I would have seen them easily. I'm going to see if I can adjust the main light upwards a little. Not too much to shine in the eyes of oncoming traffic but enough to give me more vision than approximately 20 feet. It only takes about 1 second to cover that distance at night and if there's something in the road, there is almost no time to react. If one of you have made this adjustment, let me know. I'm sure there's some sort of beam adjustment screw.

Yes the headlight adjustment screw uses a 5mm allen accessed thru a slot/hole in the backside of the headlight nacelle on the right side of the bike (throttle side) Just turn the handlebars to the left and you will see it pretty easily

That has to be really bright with 3 HIDs lighting at one time. Glad to hear that Rob took care of you, he is a nice guy.

Wow, should be able to see great with those and be seen too. Back when I just had the small Walmart lights on mine it made a huge difference in lighting up the edges of the road.

Zoom and Rynosback - Thanks again for your help and information. Rob was really helpful and took the time to answer a lot of my questions. BTW, the two side lights aren't HID (yet), but they might be soon. I've tried to control the "spending bug" with this bike, but it's a losing battle sometimes. I may upgrade both of them to HID after I save up a little more cash.
