    Default Van Halen

I'm sure about 95% or more of this 9 community knows who Van Halen is so I thought I'd share an excerpt from the g9r family dinner conversation tonight. Simon is my 11 year old son, our youngest kid. Me to Lesli (my wife) "Did you see that my brother and Travis (his son) went to see Van Halen last night? Lesli replies "yeah". Simon pipes up and asks "Can I see it?" Lesli replies "Do you even know what Van Halen is?" Simon replies "Yes". So I asked him "What is it?" To which he replies "a baseball team". We all started laughing and he then replies "A movie?" We all had a really good laugh.

I agree, buy your son a couple of their early CD's. Van Halen was one of my favorite bands. Boston was another, and I bet that one would throw him for a spin if someone went and saw them. What, the Red Sox?

And kids sure say the darndest things.

    Made me laugh tonight.

We had one of the new guys at the office that had no idea what these were. Made me feel old at 36.

Lol, I remember those well. Probably too well.

BTW, the bigger one is 5 1/4", or 133mm. I still have some of those too. And the 3 1/2" isn't THAT old. We still have some at work and an old external laptop floppy drive to read them in.
