I've got the X-11, and it's the best helmet I've ever had. I hate the price but they are worth it.

When I had my first bike I got a Bell full face. I'm driving down the road when I flip up the visor to get some air when a Bee flies in and when I shook my head the visor flipped shut and the Bee started to bounce around like a pinball. Eventually it stung me on the cheek and I crashed into the curb. I must have looked like I spazzed out, went crazy and crashed. Not one of my more graceful moments.

    LOL damn....

..reminds me of my taking a stinkbug to the vent...green bug juice came through and hit my lips....shut me down....pulled in to gas station and gagged for about a minute....while trying to wash the stink off my face and helmet....

I'm glad we don't have stink bugs here. But we do have Palmetto bugs which look like a roach but are the size of a Dinosaur and when they hit you it fells like you got nailed by a golf ball.
Two years ago I'm riding up the keys on the 9 when a Cormorant, which is a large water bird in the 5 pound range decides to fly across the highway towards me. Over the years I've had a few close calls with these birds. Well this one was related to a Kamakazi pilot and decided to try to take me out. I saw him coming and ducked below the handle bars and he bounced off the top of my helmet. I was lucky but he two girls riding on the bike behind got nailed with a pile of Cormorant crap. It looked like someone took a bowl of oatmeal and threw it at them. I was laughing so hard in my helmet I almost crashed.
