Default Stupid question about the battery!

Please keep the laughter to a minimum, but is the battery in the 109 a 6 or 12 volt?

They haven't used 6 volt batteries since the 60's.

Hey Trod, they use 6 volt batteries on the farm tractors up here. I wonder why not 12?

I dunno. I was speaking to bikes specifically (and most cars also).

We have a 12V tractor that used 2 - 6 volt batteries in series. We changed it out to 2 - 12V batteries in parallel. I assume they used the 6 volts in the beginning to get more amperage and when the tractor was made 6 volts were much more common at that time.
