    Default Charlotte NC, Transmission work??

Does anyone know of any good reasonably priced shops in Charlotte NC to do transmission work. I need to get shift forks replaced and 2nd gear undercut.

Wow. you must have went to the Zuki dealer?? I'm going to get my own parts because I want specific forks and gear undercut but I just need someone that has dismantled the transmission before to break it down and then put it back together once the parts come back.

That is a good question. You really need someone who has actually busted open a 109 transmission and not use yours as a learning experience.
I'll do some searching. I know the folks at Ironhorse pretty good. Dennis Hefner is the service manager and he is a great person to know. They are a Suzuki dealer now and have a good service dept. but again, I doubt they heve seen the gears on a 109.

R&D transmissions in florida will do this right. Don't let the local yahoos screw around with your ride. Its not a science experiment.

I live way up in Canada and this is the ONLY shop that I would let touch my transmission. if I had a problem (which I do, looong story, being fixed as we speak)

R&D will do the cutting, the forks and rods, but not the dismantle. BTW....How's your raped ape running?!!?!

^^^Its running great!!!! Totally new feel to it. FuturR (Matt) did an amazing job with the engine and transmission!.

To Peazy. I highly recommend that Matt does your work. Let someone who knows these engines and transmissions take care of your ride just the way you would expect them to. It was totally worth the 10 hour drive to get my bike to Matt.
