I just changed my front and rear last week. Do your self a favor and get 2 set of wheel protectors. 4 prices total. You need something to break the bead with and 2 tire spoons to work the tire over rim. Use plenty of dish soap for lube mixed with water in squirt bottle. YouTube has videos on how to do this

I just recently watched a video posted on here about changing tires at home. He used a spade shovel that he jumped on to break the bead and the rim protection and 3 tire spoons to remove the tire.

you got that link ? sounds good. I just watched all the home made redneck bead breakers on you tube, totally cracked up with the scissor jack and hammer under the rear bumper trick.

im sure the oil containers would work just fine but the store bought wheel protectors snap onto the rim and stay put while you pry against them. It sucks when you drop a wheel protector inside of your tire and have to fish it out. I would spend the few bucks and get the real deal.

Thanks everyone for the help. Found 3 spoons at harbor freight for 5 bucks each, picked up the bead breaker while I was there for 20. Came back home and with the help of a friend (I think it's definitely a 2 man job) completed putting on the 160 metzler. Looks awesome, can't wait for my one piece fork tubes to showup so I can put my bike back together.
