Haven't gotten a response from Dan, so I decided to check to see the last log on he had here, 2 weeks ago.

Interesting. You guys are hoping for a group buy, which I hope you can work out. But, poor 'ole Cobra can't even make enough units each month to quell the demand in the 109 market. You may have to, or have the reseller you're working with, go directly to Cobra so they can plan it into their production. Based on how hard these are to get, and how quickly they disappear after each "promised" shipment, I doubt any reseller has or will have this many available at any one time. Maybe what you can suggest is a list of buyers with deposits, that reseller can fill as fast as they get them in. It may take a few months to complete, but at least that way you can get the ball rolling with the program instead of waiting around for any one reseller to commit and then fulfill those kind of numbers. Just a thought.

I also wouldn't expect too large a discount, since the market is so hot for these. Just be happy to get a commitment for a few dollars less than what you're seeing and know that you have a source that is going to deliver as soon as they can.

I would add my name, but already have one. Love it! Worth the money and the wait. Just do it.

Add me to the growing list....I also agree with a few things you said one I think if the units are prepaid then maybe that will get the ball rolling. The other thing you mention was that it may take months to get the unit from what I've heard most group buys do take a few months to fill the orders. That is the only thing that may keep me from waiting for a group buy and order mine next week. I'm waiting to see what Big-B works out with DLP if they don't respond to him by the weekend then I'm going to order mine next week. I've seen some for as low as $449 my thinking with the Group buy is that they may go as low as $400 but, I don't think anyone ordering with the group buy will see them before June I'm okay with that if there is a guarantee and a good deal on the group buy.

He's got an interesting point here... I'm your typical American; I require instant gratification! Unless the price break is over $100, I'm willing to fork out the extra 60 odd dollars to get it now instead of 3 months from now when I'm half way through my minuscule riding season here in the Mile High city...

    Default Commodity

Looks like someone with an extra 100K should buy out the market for a few months and start selling these as a commodity!

I'm in if we could get a little lower than $450 shipped and delivery in less than a month. If not, I'll buy from Biker Trends or GM Cycles will also price match.

You guys do know riding season is just around the corner, and you do know what mod most people are going to make right. You snooze, you lose. You guys are belly aching over $450 for probably the best mod for the buck. Heck! I paid $599 for mine and would pay it again in a heartbeat. It really is worth every penny you spend on it, Scouts Honor.

Good luck....I tried contacting DLP day after day, week after week with not a single response.

So much for supporting sponsors...I contacted GM Cycles, immediate response, paid and received it in Australia 8 days later....

and still waiting on a response from DLP. Good work DLP, way to support other suppliers

I'm not belly aching over anything and am fully prepared to pay $450 for it and receive it in a week. I will, however get in on a group buy if it's less expensive and shipping doesn't take forever.

    Default GOOD RESPONSES

Well guys, I have read a lot of the replies to the thread and decided yes, this season is about to get started and as hard as we have all tried to get reponses from the dealers on the internet and about to get better priceing for this season it looks like if you want it now we will just have to bite the bullet and lay out the funds. It doesn't seem like there are a lot of them in circulation at this time at any price. A groupe buy is a great idea but we need to find someone that can not only give us some type of reasonable price for the volume buy but also have that many on hand.

I've contaceted several vendors and not even gotten a response. Just going to have to bit the bullet. Can't wait to see how the beast performs.
