    Default Gear Shifter

So I was leaving work today and went to shift up from second to third and the shift lever was locked.
Stopped the bike and played around with the shift lever.
Got back on thinking I was stuck going home in second gear and as I was driving I gently pushed on the shift lever like I was down shifting this pushed the lever back in the proper position so I could shift up. So now I can shift up to the proper gears for the ride home.
No issue in down shifting just shifting up in gears.
Looks like a spring has broken and will need to be fixed, I figure that the lever is supposed to be return to the proper position after shifting up and it is not doing that right now. Looks like a project for the weekend or when I take it in for the next service.
Thinking it might be a good time to order a bushing from Gman since I figure that the lever will have to possibly come off to fix the issue.
Anyone else have this happen to them?

So the next day I ride the bike to work with a work around for shifting gears but end up not having to do it as the shifter was working again.
Went ahead and ordered the Bushing from Gman and it arrived yesterday and Today the bike went into the Dealers for the 15,000 mile service and to have the bushing installed. Service Tech at the Dealer told that he has only seen the issue once before on the 109 and it was the bushing being worn a little bit.
Funny part is right after he said that I handed him the new bushing and he laughed about the fact that I had the new bushing already.
Really like the dealer I go to, straight forward people, the place is a Ma and Pop operation and they really do a great job working the bikes.

It is great when you can get a dealer that knows how to work on bikes and they have a good attitude as well.
    Enjoy!

It is very nice, just got the bike back from the Shop , routine maintenance completed for 14500 miles, Gman Bushing Installed, Brake Pads replaced.
Really, really happy with them as all totaled the work they did on the bike did not cost me a arm or leg.
