So I was leaving work today and went to shift up from second to third and the shift lever was locked.
Stopped the bike and played around with the shift lever.
Got back on thinking I was stuck going home in second gear and as I was driving I gently pushed on the shift lever like I was down shifting this pushed the lever back in the proper position so I could shift up. So now I can shift up to the proper gears for the ride home.
No issue in down shifting just shifting up in gears.
Looks like a spring has broken and will need to be fixed, I figure that the lever is supposed to be return to the proper position after shifting up and it is not doing that right now. Looks like a project for the weekend or when I take it in for the next service.
Thinking it might be a good time to order a bushing from Gman since I figure that the lever will have to possibly come off to fix the issue.
Anyone else have this happen to them?
