Default New Member / New Bike in Mandeville

    Hello all!

This is my first post...I am fairly new to riding and just picked up an 06 silver tastefully modified 9. I have been staring at it in my garage for the last hour or so...looking forward to the weekend! I hope to get a chance to ride with some of you guys sometime in the near future...I will be zipping around hwy 1088 and parts above Abita Springs trying to get my feet wet for the next few days...

    Ride on!

Greetings from coastal Alabama. Not close enough to ride with you but close enough to be in the same riding weather.

C50 Volusia Intruder (Sweetpea) then a 2003 Honda Magna (Maggie) and now an 07 109 (Gwendolyn). I've been 160 MPH as a passenger on the back of a Hayabusa (Bridgette). And my OMG newest bike to add is my own 03 Copper Hayabusa, named Ysabel.

    Cuz chicks ride too.

I'm in Slidell. I've seen a few other 9s in the area but never while out riding. I know there are several up in the Picayune area too. I've had mine for a year, don't ride much, have done a few mods. Should get together to talk/ride. Will PM.

from "down da bayou". If they ever do some sort of bike event like the New Orleans Bike Week a few years ago, we should try and get all the Louisiana 9s together and show all those Harleys how we roll!

    Default successful maiden voyage!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome...I took my 9 out for my initial ride and must say that I had a blast. I did need some work on my right turns from a dead stop ( I found out quickly as I went pretty wide turning out of my neighborhood )...went to a big school parking lot and did some training for about an hour and then hit the open highway...what a rush....I did just order the tall V stream windshield...I wanted to ride without it first...but I can tell that it will help at higher speeds...at least I think it will!

Looking forward to tomorrow!!!! Saints game is late too...what possibilities!

    Peace.
