Escort for SGT Recendez 11 June
Please join us in the Key Presentation Ceremony in welcoming SGT Judas Recendez and family to their new home.
When: Saturday, June 11, 2011
Escort: Assembly Location and times:
All Bikes and cars that would like to escort SGT Recendez to his New Home are to meet at the Curtis Memorial Park at 58 Jessie Curtis Lane (approx. 2 miles from Hwy 17 / Warrenton Road), Fredericksburg, VA.
We will assemble in the large parking lot on the left past the Fairway Drive. We ask you to be there around 09:30 am with kick stands up between 10:15 – 10:30

Flag line: Assembly Location and times:
We ask you to be at the home site no later than 10:30 and if possible bring a US Flag on a staff to be part of the flag line. Recommend flag size (2X3 or larger).

Home: Stafford County, VA
Army SGT Judas Recendez suffered the loss of both of his legs while deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in October 2006. While on a routine patrol, an IED struck the vehicle he was riding in, killing the driver instantly and spinning SGT Recendez 180 degrees. Three additional soldiers were also severely injured but were able to remove themselves from the vehicle.
