    Default Grab Rails

    Hey all,

Quick Q - I pick up my new m109r this week.
I've ordered the back rest (and mounting bits and rack), but was wondering if anyone knew of any pillion grab rails available that perhaps mount where the panniers usually do?
My wife prefers those type as opposed to reaching around behind.

Also, and this may be a long shot - any know mod's/accessories for lower pillion pegs?
I know that may sound odd, but my wife is pushing six foot, and would prefer lower pegs.

    Cheers all,

    Lurch.

Lurch I think I can solve all your problems in one, just let the Mrs ride and you be the handbrake, Caution- dont wear high heels as they tend to scratch the mufflers

My misses hold onto my balls while we ride. She says it has 2 advantages -
    1st: keeps my balls warm
    2nd: keeps "me" under control

Seriously though, why doesn't she just put her hands on your hips and hold onto your jean belt loops even just with one hand is cool...me and my misses knows that without prior warning she doesn't need to hold onto me or the bike. But, if I give her a subtle nudge with an elbow she grabs the belt loops on my jeans and has no probs holding on...well I haven't lost her so far

Never heard of any rear pegs that sit lower and you would have a hard time getting them lower on the right leg if you have stock exhaust, even custom exhaust your not going to get much out of it. But, i'm sure that with a bit of aussie fiddling you could manufacture something and still make it look nice....not sure how though

    Cheers bro,
    Boogs...

do a search for Jardine either on the forum or on DLP for "grab rails". They do a set that look quite nice IMHO.

there's plenty of people who've repositioned the rear foot pegs, here's just one thread I found using "search", though it did take a couple of goes, even knowing they are out there....

    Hi Jase,

Try these relocation arms. Bring the stock pegs 4" further forward. I had a bit of trouble mounting them but only because I already have some mounts there for my tow hitch.

I coupled them with Rivco floorboards for my girlfriend who has quite bad knees and this gave her much greater comfort.

    Angus.
