    Default Power outage

I dont know who of us lost power but I been without power since Friday , only got power generator on Sunday, It got really cold here on Saturday.
Tonight was the first day that I got hot water since I finally called a friend who told me how to connect my oil burner furnace to the generator!
Hope is high since I can see lights on streets close by.

I feel your pain. Just came back from upstate NY on a hunting trip, left on thursday of last week and arrived to nothing but ice and down power lines and transformers everywhere. Lasted till sunday afternoon with no heat other than a small fireplace and no water. Friday night it was 8 degrees in the house. Appparently between MA. NH. and upstate NY there were over 600,000 people without power.

Power back today 19-Dec. 8 f'en days later!! Thank GOD for my wood stove, and having town water! We took in 6 of our neighbors for 5 days and nights, they had nothing. My wife got good at cooking on our wood stove, from eggs+toast every morning + spegetti + soup. I also have a little 1000w GEN. That took care of COFFEE!!! And our tv+directHD,box+1 lamp. Glad I don't have cable!! Cause thats still out! Just did'nt have hot water, and lost 8 white birch trees, that ONCE WERE IN MY FRONT YARD! So my front yard next summer will look ALOT DIFFERENT!! But all and all, we were lucky! And as bad as it may have been, it brought out alot of good in people

Damn Bob! I feel for you! 8 days?! I was out for 5 days and my fireplace was the only thing I had going for while and that does NOT compare to your wood stove!!
I will be getting a wood insert for my fireplace next year as it is just for showing and not much heat at all! Glad to see that you were able to help your neighbors, we had one couple from down the street with us and we got another friend that still does not have power as I write this...when will it end?

No frozen pipes. This is my buddies hunting house, so, it is winterized. We were up the for black powder season. On Sat. night it went down to 16 below...inside temp was 8 degrees. Lasted until sunday afternoon and headed back home after we were told it could be up to a week. Power was back on Monday afternoon.
