Luke and Harley. Luke is the Black and Tan that we rescued and Harley we have had since only as big as my boot. They are 2 and 3.... wouldn't trade them for anything.

This is my parents' boxer (Poldek). We got him from a shelter.

These are my two dogs. Cesar (yellow lab) and Maggie (Golden retriever/Border Collie mix) Cesar we had since he was born, sadly had to put him to sleep recently due to all his health issues. Maggie we got from a shelter, she was half the size and weight she is now.

Many know, that Mary and I had to put our German Shepherd, Maxx, down in June. We decided due to our schedule and loving to ride, we would go the cat route. Only stipulations we gave ourselves were that they had to be a bonded pair, between 6-12 months old and we HAD to rescue them. We waited a month and then started looking. We looked at 1 pair, but didn't feel it so we waited. The second time we went to Pet Smart and immediately saw these two in their cage. 2 sisters that are the most loving animals. They were bought and had to be given up. A foster immediately took them and raised them until they were 6 months old, which is when we got them. Today they are about 10 months old and are absolutely awesome pets. They love eachother so much that they do everything together.

    Default Olivia

Well, I have allways had dogs, and never thought much about a cat. Never really liked them and thought they were just something for the dogs to chase. Back in October, the wife came home from arobic dance class and wouldn't stop talking about a 6 mo. old kitten that was set to be put down. I told her that if she wanted it, she could rescue it, but I would have no part in caring for the cat. Now 3 months later, this is the best pet that I have ever had. They are so clean, and can and will entertain themselves. Hard for me to think about our house without her.
I tell my daughter (a 17 yr old senior in high school), that Olivia is her replacement. I am just kidding her, but the cat is sure much less trouble.

I am with you bro. I never really cared for them at all. Mary owns a pet sitting service and for the last 12 years I have had the chance of meeting a few that I liked. But, I still was a dog person. now, little to no fur, no having to walk them in the snow, and I am really enjoying their company. I miss the interaction with my dog who was the smartest thing though. Within 4 months, these cats are starting to come on sounds and name calling...which has surprised me. I couldn't be happier with our choice.

Had to put my good mate Timmy down on the weekend.
He jumped between 2 boats , landed on his tummy and burst his bladder.
Will miss him dearly, a unconditional friend.
Only bad trate was he hated the bike, Only time he was left at home.
RIP mate we will miss you dearly.

So sorry for your loss. It hurts and just remember, all dogs go to Heaven.
