My painter hated the polished gas cap:

Down to the wire, I'm heading to Phoenix Saturday morning at 3 a.m. for a 5a.m. start on final polish and reassembly of the bike. Fingers crossed, she starts and we can leave early Sunday morning for SEMA load-in. Its been a long time since she ran on her own. That said, the whole bike was cleared in several segments today, and the wetsanding and polishing starts tomorrow.

-And I finally got to see the color of my stripes, which I'd never seen during the painting process.
They're a dark candy blue... Can't wait to see her glossy.

    More soon.

She was blessed with three coats of clear yesterday and wetsanding commenced today. I'm headed to Phoenix this morning at 3a.m. to reassemble, start and load the bike into an enclosed trailer before we head off to Vegas early Sunday morning.

Yeah, show us the whole thing. Now I have to sit here and imagine what all those parts looked like together, and shiny too.

Just for curiosity sake.... Maybe someone asked it before, but that gas cap is one of the vented ones, right?

I realize that most of you won't be able to make it to the show, so here she is in the sun today just before we loaded her up for Vegas.
