This may very well be. I will update again after my round of winter mods. Right now I have aftermarket pipes, stock intakes and no fuel controller. I will be adding new intakes and a power commander so after that I will see. This manufacturer does advertise that this one is compatible with the power commander-updates to come, just going to be a few months. By the way scorp, which one did you have?
I had the Track Day TRE. I thought it was the **** when i first plugged it in. It felt like i lost a little low end but was so much smoother. Easier to ride in the first 3 gears in town. It ran good after i installed the PC 5 and did a custom tune using a wide band o2 sensor. It just never pulled as hard as it did before i put the TRE in. So i pulled it while i was installing the Auto tune. WOW a night and day difference the beast was back. But very smooth and controllable at low speeds in in town in the first 3 gears. I had the bike back that scared the **** out of me the first time i shifted from 1st to 2nd and damn near ripped it self from me. I also average 46-48 MPG. That's a mix between city highway driving.

Those of you who went with the PC5 and the Autotune, where did you find the best deal?

Give them nothing! But take from them everything!

If you don't have some kind of fuel controller i would say go for it. It does make the first 3 gears much smoother.

    Default TRE 26$

NJDevil, I installed the same one you did from E-BAY for 26$, best deal I have found. We will have to see if it holds up but for 26 bucks I am extremely stoked about it.

The ECU then applies the timing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd that is used in 4th. 4th has the most timing advance of the lower gears. And since the bike thinks it's in 4th, it also doesn't apply the lower redline that 5th gear has, so the bike can top out a few miles faster.

Early ones didn't sense neutral so the bike would idle faster in neutral, due to the advanced timing. Then the A(automatic)TRE came along and it could tell the bike was in neutral and kick it out of the circuit so the bike would idle at normal speed.
    thanks for the info......

Indeed...the 5 available on ebay sold out pretty quick. Received mine Saturday, installed on white connector (behind the side trim on the right side-with black, blue and pink wires), took out for a ride today. I concur...really smoooothed out the response at low speeds. It was pretty wet out still so not going to push, but was glad to experience TRE modded smoooothness. How long will it last..... Dunno but $26 well spent IMHO. Thank you for the inspiration NJDEVIL!!!

No problem. That's what I like about this place-everybody does different thing's so there are plenty of options if you want to try something out. I wanted to change intakes (for the third time) but I don't mind because the options that I chose to use were not expensive. So if you want to change it don't break the bank. Now if I had spent $400-$1200 on intakes I don't think I would be so quick to change up

Quick question and your opinions. What is the difference between the Heal Tech and Track Day ATREw/gear indicator other then price? Is one really better then the other? Thanks

That's just like asking what's the best tire. Everyone has an opinion. They all do the same thing.

Hey Keith, i'm really liking this TRE mod, do you have a gear indicator on your ride? I have one since mine is a 2011. Does it really mess with gear indicator? From your test drive it sounds like its worth it . Please reply.

This thing does just what everyone claims they do because there was a huge difference in the way it runs at lower speed-very smooth. Took it out on the highway and wow runs like a cat scolded with hot water took it to between redlights but this highway is not the place for high speed runs so I still have to take it out this weekend and see if it really gets around the limiter. I have no reason at this point to believe that it won't. The only other thing I can add to this review is 1. I shouldn't have waited over a year and a half to install one of these. 2. If you haven't put one on yet (I don't care what brand or if it has a gear display) just do it now! 3. For the $26.50 I paid I can honestly say IMO there is not another mod you are going to do to your bike that is going to give you the bang for the buck that this thing does! I purchased the one in the link right above this one. As far as long term for this particular brand I will have to update again later-unless someone else already had this brand and just hasn't spoken up ,now is your chance

They don't have any year models listed with it. I would contact the seller to be sure it won't screw with your gear indicator.

I currently have 2 M109Rs. I sold the 3rd one back in June 2012. Both of the 9s I have are equipped with the Track Day TRE and the new Cobra Power Pro Tuner. Both of them run like a bat out of h***, and are very, very smooth through the low end gears 1-3 and all the way through 5th gear as well. Perhaps the PC5 is interferring with the function of the TRE when both are installed. However, when you don't have a TRE installed your ride is going to be limited in each gear. You won't have the ability to get the full impact of every gear like you will when you have the TRE installed. I realize everyone here has had some similar and different experiences with installing certain components with other components. One thing I do know is the combination I am running on both of my bikes has yielded an unbelievably much higher level of performance than I had expected. My best friend ZZUKE10 put the same components on his 9 after having been convinced by me, and when he took his bike out and really got into it he sent me a text stating..."I just took my bike out for a real test, and it scared the hell out of me." He then turned his bike around and went back home to collect his thoughts. He was speechless about how the combination of components had transformed and elivated the performance of his bike.

Hi guys, Spoke directly to the manufacturer of this TRE item, If you have a gear indicator from factory it keep it on 5th gear at all times. My question now is, what TRE unit is plug and play and compatible with a M109R that has a gear indicator from factory?

Does anyone run a tre with a Fi2000r installed? any performance issues? High idle in N, less torque in low gears?
