Another great job. Always love to see your pictures. If I can find someone to ride with me, I am going up for a 1 day trip this coming saturday. Anyone in N.C. want to ride up from the Raleigh area?

Color is peak in the Boone area right now. Also good color on the BRP around 4000' and above. Fall color should be slowly moving down in elevation all this week. Now is a good time to be up in the mountains this next couple weeks.

Make sure you stop HERE milepost 302. 8 and walk up the trail to see the views. It's right on the BRP and the views are absurd!

Have to do this short 15min. walk HERE (milepost 364.4) up Craggy Pinnacle.

Also I'd do the short walk HERE (milepost 422.4) to the Devil's Courthouse view.

Don't be afraid to get off your bike and walk a bit. Many of the best views are not from the road. While all the HD riders are smoking down in the parking lots & checking their cholesterol levels you can be up where the good views are! ........
