    Default Riser Project Finished

Well over a year ago I started a riser project for a company to their design. They were programmed and run on my CNC mill but, after finishing them, I found that the insert cuts on the sides were impossible to polish. After contemplating different finishes for the insert cuts, I decided on some carbon fiber film. Here's how they turned out.

The company has decided not to continue the project. At this point I don't have a short term plan to make them in production. I have too many other things going on. However, at some point I might and will put them on my website. Price is not established yet. The polishing and possible chrome costs have not been determined.

I like the look of them.....there is only so much one can do with risers but with a CNC setup how about "M109R" rather than holes......just thinking out loud. If you could cut that into the riser and then chrome them.....I'd think about changing out my risers for something like that!!!

I can many different things on the interior. The basic outer shape/size doesn't change (they are set for a 2" pullback from stock). If I do get some time to make them I will certainly take the M109R logo as a suggestion.

Man I am really liking those! That carbon fiber film adds a little something different. Actually, I'm surprised more 109'ers aren't doing innovative things like this with carbon fiber. I've added some to my GSXR and my boat. It's a really cool, inexpensive mod. Anyway, great job on the design and millwork!
