Default Cup holder on. No excuses here, I love my coffee! Let's see them!

I guess it's taboo to have a cup holder on a lean, mean, fat tire machine, being our beloved 9.

I ride my 9 more than I drive my car. With that said, I need to bring coffee with me to work. Did I officially cross over to a new kind of "dark side"? I know this term is in regard to those who put car tires on their 9. I think this is more of a "grey" deal.

I know I'm not alone. Let see them cupholders! Don't be shy.

I have one on mine. I don't care if anyone likes it or not. I like it and that is enough.

I have one too.. I think a CHROME cup holder is better than having saddle bags or any other carring device..I don't know about all of ya'll but I do get thursty during rides and it sure is nice not to have to stop everytime you need a drink beer, coffee, soda or even water ...not to mention that it can be used for so much more, like holding your phone, garage door opener, sun glasses etc..... jm2c

I dont know about drinking while you're in motion... but I've been seriously considering buying one too. I ride to work and would like to grab a coffee on the way, and currently have no place to put it. Where'd you get yours?

a graciously accept the position of NAYSAYER to this mod...if there was supposed to be a cupholder on this bike, then DLP would have surely listed an application for for it.

I like the beer application. Why not have a few brews on the way?

I always considered one. I hate not having my coffee before work in the am. The coffee at works sucks to not have my own or D&D.

I do not have one, but I see nothing wrong with it. A bottle of water would be handy for when you are stopped at a traffic light or whatever.

Actually....The cup worked just fine, right up til the end. The cup holder failed because it was unable to maintain a secure hold due to increased vacuum from wind. The coffee even failed because it was not heavy enough to hold it down. Was it somewhere around 90-95? LOL!! Luckily, Tiny71 was close enough to you to go under it and I was back far enough to go around it!

I have to say that the best cup holder mount mod has to go to CJ, AKA "Crazytrain. He went as far as to light it up with some yellow LED lights and that thing looked sweet. Trying to see if I can find some pictures.

EDIT: O.K., here they are, jajajaja:

I have an old Porsche as my daily driver and it does not come with cup holders. This is common with most older European cars. I think the bracket cup holder you made looks awesome. Your setup will be in my car this weekend. I may switch out my current cup holder for this setup instead.

It is not complete, on the other side of the helmet it should have a tray for stirrers, sugar, and creamer.

It's made from 4" PVC pipe just in case you hadn't already figured that out. Of course, you may have to use something different depending on the size of your cup.

You guys take this coffee stuff serious!

2011, Candy Indy Blue. I call her Cinderella...in the beginning, I had to be in before sunset. Not falling totally for the mod trap, just minor looks. She's plenty of bike, and I like it the way it is. I'll hit 13,000 after MAM, and working on a lot more.

I thought it was a piece of aluminum, bent and painted. You cut it perfectly, goodness. I will have one installed soon. Thanks for the info.

I have the same one. I'm usually with a large McDonald's sweet tea in my holder. If I wrap a rubber band around the bottom it fits nice and snug. People always laugh when they see that big cup perched on the bars. Couldn't tell you how many times I've hear something along the lines of, "you must be thirsty!" I guess it looks real out of place but it sure is nice the take a nice gulp of ice cold sweet tea on a hit summer ride!
