    Default What part is this?

Does anyone know what this part is and how hot it gets? They look like two black metal tubes at the base of the cylinder block (the area I circled). I believe that they transfer oil or coolant not sure though I am thinking about painting the tubes however not sure if they will get too hot though. Click image for larger version.

Yes, they are for the coolant. The coolent runs up to the heads thru these hoses. Why are you wanting to paint them? Clean 'em then shine 'em then go get them dirty!!

    Default coolant

I can tell you with 100% confidence that it is coolant, I sprung a leak there just last week. I must have had some kind of blockage and it built up pressure. The bike is at the dealers. I think they replaced the thermostat and maybe the water temp sensor. I'll find out when I pick it up next week.

The part number is below and it is #16 in the parts diagram:
    17860-48G00 PIPE, CYL WATER INLET

    Good luck.
