Default secure your helmet....how i do it !

its likely been covered many time here but i see alot of new folks and i was a newbie only a short time ago too.....

so this summer ive been rolling to a few local car/bike shows and thank god it doesnt happen often but ive read about helmets inexpicably taking a walk before thier respective owner returns to his bike. we all know that all it takes is one random douchebag and our 650.00 helemt and 200.00 scala comm system are getting sold for 40 bucks worth of CRACK COCAINE !

that crappy little lock on the left side of the 9 is a PITA so as i was pondering what to do with (besides carrying it) my new Shoei neotech lid when i came across some random Handgun cable locks which alot of us may have many, many extra's laying around and if you dont have one, they are usually free or 3 bucks at ANY gun store. i just ran the cable through the metal chin strap loops and then around my engine guard tube and let it rest neatly around the right foot peg area.

DAYUM, it even looks good !

i was wearing a half lid routinely but they honestly dont provide adequate protection from a mishap, let alone the friggen bugs around here at night...OUCH !

You put the narrow part threw the 2 steel loops, on your helmet strap. Then the HOLE, goes threw your helmet lock on your bike. Making it easier to install your helmet to the lock. COOL?

I forget the name of them but they sell lockable end caps for the handlebars that are a helmet lock.. Not sure how they work but I know I have seen them. Especially if your wanting to lock up 2 helmets.
    Good luck

I think the helmet lock ruins the look on the left side of the bike so I took mine off. Guess I'll be lugging my helmet around until I can find a better solution.
