Badass. How is it comfort wise? If money was no object I might get one just to rip around on. But judging from my old CBR experience, I couldn't tolerate being on it more than 30min or so.

It is surprisingly comfortable. I can foresee much longer rides on this than on any of my other bike. I had an R1 as well up until shortly, this feels like it fits. I am not a monster at 6'2" 270 but I am not very dainty either. When I tuck in on the R1 I felt like I was leaning over the front of it. This I can tuck in comfortably behind the windscreen. The R1 was great fun but the severe lack of bottom end torque was a big drawback. This thing makes my M109R feel as though it is lacking in torque. Amazingly fast. Handles as good as the R1. I say that but keep in mind I am referring it to my size on it. Get someone who really knows how to ride and there is no way this will keep up with an R1 in the twisties but for me, it may be better due to its size.

Niiiiiice! I don't know if you plan on doing any modding but this is one bike that DOES NOT need ANY performance mods. The factory did a hell of a job from the factory. It will go on 1 wheel very easily so be careful. The only mods I did were cosmetic-spiked out fairing and windshield spikes and chromed pegs with blade heelguards. I also put on a custom seat that was a little lower with a cut out on back-great to keep you from sliding on the factory seat during hard acceleration. Good luck with it and enjoy.

That is my next bike! I loved my 06, and if the 2012 is half of what they say it is, I will own one. Just need a way to hide it from the wife

Thank you. The only modifications that i currently plan are for creature comfort and long distance riding. It has enough zoom as is.

That thing is Saweet! I was wondering about those ZX's. I was kinda thinking about putting a sports tourer in the stable again. I just couldn't bring myself to get a Busa. I was actually looking at an Aprilia but I think I'll check out the ZX now. Nice job! Did you get it at NC house or somewhere else?

I tried to get it at NCHOM but they just did not have one. I ended up having a fairly unpleasant expirience getting it from Escondido Cycle Center. The only advantage they had to keep me there was the willingness to take in an auto trade. All of my service will be done at North County though.

A lot of people on the forums speak about lowering them and also some seats that may make it more reasonable for you to be comfortable on it.

I am with you on the Esco Cycle Center. Good job though, the bike is awesome! I'll have to take a look at it when I get back.

    Congrats, she's beautiful.
when I was trading my 9 in I test drove a ZX14 and as i was entering the freeway I cracked the throttle and the front end hopped up into the air and scared the living chit out of me. I drove it for about 10 miles and took it back to them. I then test drove the Concours and liked it as well. It sure didn't have the same power but it was still full of get up and go. I called the insurance company to check prices, I was leaning towards the ZX but after talking to my insurance agent I tool the Concours home. It was $600 less per year to cover. I'm happy with my choice, I've never needed more power but I still think What if?
